Students demonstrate the trait of self-discipline (i.e., will power) by: 1) Doing what they should do even when they might be able to get away with misbehavior (e.g., behaving and doing their work even when they have a substitute teacher or their teacher is out of the room). 2) Doing what they need to do (e.g., chores, homework, confronting a problem) without procrastination or excuses. 3) Resisting temptations and urges for immediate gratification.
