January 27, 2016 By Romy Blystone

Students acknowledge their responsibility to enhance their chances of success in school and life, in the quality of their relationships, and in their own well-being and happiness by: 1) Consciously choosing positive attitudes and mindsets (including optimism, enthusiasm, gratitude, and cheerfulness) and rejecting self-defeating attitudes (e.g., pessimism, cynicism, defeatism, and hopelessness). 2) Developing critical self-management and social skills traits, including: self-discipline, resilience, perseverance, stress management, organization and time management, planning and goal-setting, initiative, flexibility, poise, patience, communication, collaboration, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.
